香港中文大學(xué)（深圳）2025年本科生畢業(yè)典禮于5月18日在大學(xué)禮文堂舉行。徐揚(yáng)生校長(zhǎng)在講話中高度評(píng)價(jià)了本屆畢業(yè)生們的成長(zhǎng)與成就，并結(jié)合時(shí)代背景勉勵(lì)同學(xué)們把握時(shí)代的機(jī)遇，實(shí)現(xiàn)自己的價(jià)值與夢(mèng)想，在未來的人生旅途中腳踏實(shí)地，勇敢挑戰(zhàn)，堅(jiān)韌前行，成為溝通中外、塑造未來的橋梁。
Dear graduates, family members, colleagues, and
friends, good morning! I am very pleased to welcome you
all to this year’s graduation ceremony for undergraduate
students.
同學(xué)們、家長(zhǎng)朋友們，大家上午好！今天是一個(gè)充滿喜悅與收獲的日子，請(qǐng)?jiān)试S我代表大學(xué)向所有畢業(yè)生表示衷心的祝賀！我想特別感謝盧煜明教授和高文教授擔(dān)任本次畢業(yè)典禮的主講嘉賓，我相信他們兩位的精彩演講一定為這一屆畢業(yè)生們帶來了寶貴的啟發(fā)！在這里，我還想特別感謝我們畢業(yè)生的家長(zhǎng)，感謝他們?cè)谕瑢W(xué)們的成長(zhǎng)過程中，在這所大學(xué)的成長(zhǎng)過程中所給予的愛、所給予的信任、所給予的支持！我知道今天有許多家長(zhǎng)朋友來到現(xiàn)場(chǎng)，還有許多往屆畢業(yè)生的家長(zhǎng)回到校園�，F(xiàn)在選擇這所大學(xué)是容易的，但十一年前選擇這所大學(xué)，面對(duì)著一片荒蕪的草地，在諸多選擇中，依然堅(jiān)定地選擇了我們這所大學(xué)，這個(gè)決定是相當(dāng)不容易的！我想請(qǐng)所有的家長(zhǎng)朋友起立，請(qǐng)大家給他們鼓掌！
Dear students, I feel as proud of you today as I did
when I first welcomed you to CUHK-Shenzhen four years
ago. I had great expectations for you, and you have not
only met but often exceeded them in ways that inspire us
all. Over the past few years, you’ve contributed to the
university’s academic excellence and cultural diversity;
you’ve enriched campus life with your energy and talent;
you’ve established meaningful ties with others and the
world at large. Together you have filled gaps with
creativity, turned impossibilities into possibilities.
Apart from pushing the boundary of knowledge and truth,
your steps have extended well beyond the classroom: into
economically underprivileged regions, labs and
entrepreneurial arenas across the country, NGO platforms
on the other side of the globe, as well as local
communities right here at home. If we take a moment to
look back to that first day you arrived at CUHK-Shenzhen
and trace the path you’ve taken since, what would your
trajectory look like, both geographically and
psychologically? What experiences have you gained? In
what ways have you grown? Collectively, your
trajectories have woven a beautiful tapestry, each
thread contributing to the rich fabric of this
community. Each thread is unique. Whatever your personal
trajectory may be, it is my hope and belief that your
time at CUHK-Shenzhen has expanded your vision,
connecting you to a world of broader experiences and
opportunities.
各位同學(xué)，今天早上我在整理你們每一位同學(xué)的材料，你們每一位同學(xué)我都有一個(gè)檔案（file），我忍不住想告訴你們，你們這一屆畢業(yè)生的去向是歷屆畢業(yè)生中最優(yōu)秀的一屆！你們進(jìn)校時(shí)正值疫情時(shí)期，你們克服了如此多的困難，取得了如此優(yōu)秀的成績(jī)，大約85%的同學(xué)已經(jīng)拿到了世界知名大學(xué)的錄取通知書，許多同學(xué)準(zhǔn)備去國(guó)內(nèi)外知名企業(yè)就職。你們之所以取得這么好的成績(jī)，一方面源于你們自己的卓越表現(xiàn)和辛苦付出；另一方面，亦來自于世界對(duì)這所大學(xué)歷屆畢業(yè)生的認(rèn)可。同學(xué)們，這是不容易的！是這所大學(xué)把你們推向了世界，也是你們把這所大學(xué)推向了世界！我們是不是應(yīng)該為自己鼓鼓掌！
Dear students, our world is divided by rising economic
rivalry and technological competition. The tariff war is
fresh in our mind and is causing worldwide aftermath in
real life as well as in academia. To this our government
has responded with policies aimed at safeguarding
national interest, dignity, and long-term stability. We
are proud that you are stepping into a world where
China’s voice is stronger and clearer than ever before.
At the same time, you are also stepping into a world
where the ability to navigate difference, not just to
compete, but to understand, respect, collaborate, and
rebuild trust, will determine the future we share.
As you venture forth to workplaces and graduate
schools all over the globe, you will meet with conflicts
in many forms, between individuals, between value
systems, and between different visions of the future.
It’s easy to be carried away by narratives of
opposition. But it’s harder and more courageous to learn
across divides and seek common ground. You will
represent China on the global stage—in science,
business, arts, ethics, social services. You will also
represent China through your conduct: your etiquette,
cultural awareness, and your willingness to engage in
open, respectful dialogue. To connect with others
through true understanding and meaningful communication,
that is the profound challenge. I want you to be
prepared for that challenge. We cannot foresee how far
away global reconciliation may be, but I encourage you
to heal the divides at personal levels by becoming
bridge-builders. I encourage you to explore ways of
competition without excluding collaboration.
同學(xué)們、家長(zhǎng)朋友們，過去的四年，不論是中國(guó)，還是世界，都經(jīng)歷著飛速的發(fā)展與變化，科技的快速迭代，國(guó)際形勢(shì)的風(fēng)云變幻，多元文化的碰撞與融合，可以說，既是一個(gè)充滿了風(fēng)險(xiǎn)與挑戰(zhàn)的時(shí)代，又是一個(gè)充滿了機(jī)遇與變革的時(shí)代。面對(duì)即將走出校園，踏上人生征程的你們，我想要和你們說，在奮斗的年紀(jì)不要選擇安逸，要把握時(shí)代的機(jī)遇，實(shí)現(xiàn)自己的價(jià)值與夢(mèng)想！
同學(xué)們，前兩天，我請(qǐng)這一屆的優(yōu)秀畢業(yè)生在我家里吃飯，在飯桌上，我們聊到了幾件事，在這里想與大家分享一下。
我們聊到了“人生的意義”，我的分享是——人生就像爬山，爬完了這座山，又接著爬另一座山，因此，山的頂峰沒有太大意義，事實(shí)上，你最好不要去看那個(gè)頂峰在哪里，頂峰不重要，重要的是，腳踏實(shí)地地走好腳下的每一步，累了就歇一會(huì)兒，欣賞一下沿路的風(fēng)景，但不要停，一直向前行。生命不是一個(gè)目的地，生命是一條路，這條路上的每一步都將為我們帶來快樂與安寧。
我們聊到了“成功者最重要的品質(zhì)”，我的分享是——勇敢。當(dāng)下的世界，總是強(qiáng)調(diào)“智能”，但“智能”是不是比“勇敢”更重要呢？不一定。中國(guó)的傳統(tǒng)文化中一直強(qiáng)調(diào)“大智大勇”，但現(xiàn)在很少提及了，學(xué)校里從來不講“大勇”，但事實(shí)上，絕大多數(shù)領(lǐng)域，甚至于做科研，如果沒有勇氣去冒風(fēng)險(xiǎn)（take
risk），你就不可能知道挑戰(zhàn)在哪里，你就不可能做出真正出類拔萃的成績(jī)。我在飯桌上和同學(xué)們講，如果你們能聽懂我的話，接下來的五年，試著每年去做一件非常大膽的事（crazy
things），你對(duì)自己說，這一生中就做這五件瘋狂的事，挑戰(zhàn)一下自己，你一定會(huì)有不一樣的體驗(yàn)。同學(xué)們，人的膽子是一點(diǎn)一點(diǎn)訓(xùn)練出來的，最勇敢的人，曾經(jīng)也是一個(gè)膽小鬼。
我們聊到了“中國(guó)學(xué)生最應(yīng)該提高的是哪方面”，我的分享是——韌性（resilience）。我們的同學(xué)，無論從智力，還是勤奮的程度來講，都很優(yōu)秀，但有時(shí)在壓力之下，在挑戰(zhàn)面前，心理承受能力不強(qiáng)，受不了挫折，一壓就軟，一壓就垮，堅(jiān)持不到最后，因此，我建議同學(xué)們要“皮實(shí)”一點(diǎn)，臉皮要厚一點(diǎn)，內(nèi)心要強(qiáng)大一點(diǎn)。同學(xué)們，世界上聰明的人很多，你能想到的，別人也能想到，最終你能在聰明人中獲勝，是因?yàn)槟惚葎e人更加堅(jiān)毅。
我們聊到了“一誠(chéng)勝百技”，這是我近期在公眾號(hào)上發(fā)布的一篇散文�，F(xiàn)在，人們普遍關(guān)注的都是“技”，是“how
to
do”，你去看，老師教的，網(wǎng)上學(xué)的，書上講的，全是“how”。我的分享是——“how”沒有“what”那么重要！在學(xué)習(xí)中，“學(xué)什么”比“怎么學(xué)”重要；在交友中，“與誰交朋友“比”怎么交朋友”重要；在工作中，“做什么”比“怎么做”重要。我希望你們永遠(yuǎn)記住——“做正確的事”比“正確地做事”重要得多！只有這樣，你才能分清主次，你才能勝過“人工智能”。你無須學(xué)太多的“技能”，不要把人生的攤子鋪得太長(zhǎng)、太寬、太大，你的目標(biāo)不是去做最好的，你的目標(biāo)是去做唯一的。
Dear graduates, although you will soon leave this
campus, I hope CUHK-Shenzhen will remain a source of
strength and inspiration, and a community of support as
you navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie
ahead. Wherever your path leads, remember that this
university will always be your anchor. For now, I want
to give you my best wishes for your journey ahead. We
look forward to seeing the difference you will make in
the future.
